Advanced Search should not include Archived workspaces

Heather 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Search • updated by Màxim Colls 10 months ago 2

When doing a search and using the filtering, it includes results from Archived workspaces. It would be nice to have an option to exclude those (I feel they should be excluded by default...)

Workspace Search should include Archived workspaces

To avoid creating workspaces that already exist but they are archived. In fact, this has already happened to us and now we have duplicate workspaces!

Search within the scope of a specific project, tasklist, or task

Oliver Rockwell 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Search • updated by Irwin Kwan 1 year ago 2

specifying the scope of a search would be a big help. an example is searching for past php upgrades. we have a tasklist for system updates and each task contains the list of packages updated. without scope a search for "php" will give endless results across our projects. we've resorted to searching for something like "php x86" but this is not a solid solution if the update was "noarch".

Hi Oliver,

Have you tried using our Search filters when you do your Search?

Please let us know if you still aren't able to find your content with the Search filters.

We would like to search on multi- tags to be able export a list of tasks having just tags #aaaa + # bbbb only for example.

Highlight (in bold) the search term in tasks and conversations

Deon 1 year ago in Feature Requests / Search 0

Frankly I am shocked that this is missing.. When searching for occurrences of a specific phrase or term, you have to read through ALL of the posts on the selected tasks and conversations in order to find the search criteria.. Simply bolding the words in the results would make life a whole lot easier..

omni-search

Alex K 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Search 0

Search like in evernote where you can search everything (or eliminate certain things) from one location. Although the filter is useful, not being able to search for tasks as well as task lists, as well as conversations, as well as comments within tasks from any one location is limiting. You can tick off which things you don't need in the search but an Omni Search feature would be very helpful as the amount of workspaces grow, sometimes it is a challenge to find where a particular task is.

Highlight search terms

Haydée Santana 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Search 0

Would be ideal for the search terms to be highlighted in the text of the results.

Search text attachments

Oliver Rockwell 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Search 0

obviously this is a difficult problem to add a total solution to but if the attachment is clearly of a text format (i.e. xml, php, html, txt, etc...) then it would not be too much work to provide results from the attachments
