Ability to merge back tasks into subtasks

Kevin Sooriah 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Tasks • updated by Scott 2 months ago 3

Since we are able to create a task from a subtask. How about merging back to the task it originally belonged.

Here is the scenario that currently happen:

We would have each task as a client name

We would have their request in subtasks

we would then create a task for someone.

when the task is completed / resolved, if it could merge back to the original task then would be great

Task merge

Igor Boczkaja 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Tasks • updated by Nixaccount 1 year ago 2

I would love to see an option to merge two tasks together.

Say someone in one department has made a task and assigned it to you. Then, another person who is not reading all the tasks that come up on the board creates almost identical task and assigns to you. Now you have several options:

1. Reply in both tasks

2. Delete or resolve one task, then assign (or notify) creator of this task to the second one and reply.

3. Delete both tasks and create a new one with creators of both tasks assigned.

Option 1 is not very efficient, and options 2 and 3 create some confusion ("Hey, where did my task go?").

It would be simpler and so much efficient if you could merge those tasks into a single one.

Implement an "in-progress" option to show when a task is being work on to show further visibility for others in the workspace.

Show date ranges in "Today" under "Tasks by User"

Grain Creative 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Tasks • updated by Ryan Crosbie 2 months ago 7

Currently the task shows up only on the due date. However a task with a date range often needs to be worked on every day in the range, show it should always show in "Today"

WYSIWYG editor

Portal Manager 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Tasks • updated by Heather 12 months ago 2

Is there a way to integrate a WYSIWYG editor? The mark up editor does not show stylized text. We are a heavy user of the Outlook plugin since that is the main way work requests are received by my team. In those emails will be stylized text. The markup editor does not show such marked up text and is proving to be an issue for us.

Please add an Unfollow shortcut on tickets header, actually to unfollow a ticket It need at least 3 clicks per tickets. For example to unfolow 20 tickets it need 60 clics !

add @ mention feature to emails forwarded into Redbooth

DJRobbins 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Tasks • updated by Darren Richards 2 years ago 3

It would be helpful to have the ability to enter an @ mention directly in the email we are forwarding into Redbooth, using the "reply to email" feature. Otherwise, we have to login to Redbooth and @mention the team member in an individual Task Comment field.

Thanks for your feedback. We think this is a bug and we'll fix it in an upcoming release.

Bulk Edit: Names Tasks

Neus Martínez 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Tasks 0

As we can assign, set due date, delete, move to a different project or task list... It would be very useful to make bulk edits of the task names.

Ability to use date ranges on subtasks

I'd like the ability to have date ranges for the subtasks within a larger task.

Upgrade feature: Multiple Assigned Users: Task Completed Option

Nixaccount 9 months ago in Feature Requests / Tasks • updated by Roger 8 months ago 2

The feature of having multiple assigned users to the Primary Task is a great feature. However, if one of the two users "completes" the task it is assumed that both users have completed the Primary Task. An option or feature to provide a "Task Complete" for each specific user assigned to the Primary Task would be helpful. Maybe an option to force "Task Complete" confirmation by the other users or the option to remove them as assigned users from the Primary Task as a fixed requirement.
