Members of the team won't be checking Redbooth super frequently (not necessarily once a day especially when things are busy) and may need to retroactively say that they've completed something. Because we rely primarily on the Timeline view, this would get messed up and show up incorrectly.
would be cool to see how many subtasks have been completed already directly on the bars in the timeline view.
Say, a task has 4 subtasks - simply put small boxes / circles within the bar which are then checked or marked with a different colour once they are completed. that way the project manager can directly see status quo.
Time line is A_mazing but ... can you implement widening the left menu please? Task descriptions get cut off because of the fixed width of the menu and we are forced to write the tasks in a way that the visible part is recognizeable right away. Would be easier to just be able to widen the menu - like you have on the right hand side when you're in task-list view ... so the coding/technology to make that happen you already have in the system, it's just applying it to the left menu scetion as well.
In the time line view it appears that the task lists are ordered by Alpha and not the order they are in task view. I would suggest they would order by default in th same order they are on task list view or allow you to drop and drag the order.
In Timeline view, tasklists are ordered automatically by start date, which follows the Gantt chart convention. You can find out more about it in our help center: https://redbooth.com/help/tasks-in-timeline-gantt/
I´ve been working with timeline for a few weeks by now and I´ve found some weak points I would like to share with you.
The first one refers to the task list in the left panel in the timeline view. In this panel, task names get so compressed that it is impossible to read them. It would be better to re-sizes this space or at least generate an option to read the names completely (for example, when the mouse passes over the name, a window could appear showing the entire name of the task). The second suggestion is related to tasks with dependencies (child and parents tasks). It would be interesting that when dependent tasks are modified in its date, all the related tasks suffer the same modification. For example, if the first task is move ahead 5 days, the child tasks gets modify in the same way. At this moment, when this modification takes place, the bond between tasks is broken. Picture 2

It would be great to see only current tasks, or tasks in the next 2 weeks etc, much cleaner for visualising tasks as you can then condense the list to the essentials.
