CRITICAL - PLEASE ENABLE Timeline (Color-Line) for the WHOLE Project (SEE Screenshots)

nen 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Timeline • updated 2 years ago 1

I mean this:

a. When we enter Start+End dates in Task Lists or Workspaces, nothing happens in the Timeline (?!) ... until we enter Dates inside each individual Task.

This is counter-productive and a time-waster:

b. Ideally, we should have a CLEAR Timeline (color line) in the Gantt View once we have entered the Start + End Date for the Project/Workspace/Task List, BEFORE CREATING TASK DATES, just like this:

This will allow us to PLAN on the go and have a better VISUAL feel of the actual Timeline for our Project, BEFORE we even start deciding on Task Dates :)

PS: if you can add/implement these few lines of code (as Breeze.pm tool does), me and my Team will be here forever ;)

Thanks in advance

Assigning dependencies of tasks without due dates

Ricardo Amigo 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Timeline • updated by Alan 5 months ago 2

It should be possible to express the dependencies between tasks even if they don't have a due date yet.

enable filtering on members in the Timeline/Gantt view

Enable member filtering in the Timeline view - similar to the team member filtering that is available in the Task List view.

Mark a task as completed in the past

Catherine Lu 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Timeline • updated by Andrej 2 years ago 1

Members of the team won't be checking Redbooth super frequently (not necessarily once a day especially when things are busy) and may need to retroactively say that they've completed something. Because we rely primarily on the Timeline view, this would get messed up and show up incorrectly.

Placeholder / Dummy / Client user

Nick 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Timeline • updated by Stephanie Roache 2 years ago 2

We'd like to be able to have a placeholder user. This would serve the purpose of assigning a task to "client". We don't want a task un-assigned however we don't have clients that utilize Redbooth.

Add Repeat Tasks to Timeline

For repeatable tasks (like bi-weekly email blasts), I think it would be great to see that in the timeline, and then I could connect dependencies to it.

Resizeable left column in Gantt view

aryk 1 year ago in Feature Requests / Timeline 0

Pretty simple ask. If you have longer task names, and a wide monitor, I should be able to resize the left column so I can see more of the task name.

Right now it is fixed and cuts off pretty much all my task names.

Change task order in timeline view.

Dave Coates 2 years ago in Feature Requests / Timeline 0

I would love the ability to change the order of the items in the timeline view by dragging them up/down. I have a specific reason to have them in a specific order and not necessarily ordered by start date.
