In a gantt view, we can see only the task and not the subtask. But a subtask as a due date like a task; How to well organize a project in a Gantt timeline if we don't see the subtasks?
would be cool to see how many subtasks have been completed already directly on the bars in the timeline view.
Say, a task has 4 subtasks - simply put small boxes / circles within the bar which are then checked or marked with a different colour once they are completed. that way the project manager can directly see status quo.
Currently parent task duration changes have no effect on child tasks, which for us makes this feature pointless- hope Redbooth adds this critical Gantt/Timeline functionality soon. We'll be on standby until this happens..
Time line is A_mazing but ... can you implement widening the left menu please? Task descriptions get cut off because of the fixed width of the menu and we are forced to write the tasks in a way that the visible part is recognizeable right away. Would be easier to just be able to widen the menu - like you have on the right hand side when you're in task-list view ... so the coding/technology to make that happen you already have in the system, it's just applying it to the left menu scetion as well.
In the gantt view I generally don't want to see resolved tasks cluttering up my view. When you have a large number of them, it forces you to scroll past them to see what's active. It's a bit of an annoyance to have to hover and un-check the option every time I load the view.
