We would find it useful to be able to save/download multiple files attached to a task comment in one go.
In our office we send tasks that requires the tasked co-worker to attached multiple files when completed, sometimes 10+, typically pfd. At the moment each of these then needs to be saved individually one at a time by the task assigner, and can quite a while.
We can use zipped folders with all the files within but this can be a bit of a process.
Adding "Open All" button to open all attachments images (of a specific comment) in the browser in diffrent tabs in one click
In the current mode we use the arrows in the popup and switch one by one and open in the browser tab, the "Open All" button should save a lot of valuable time at work when it all opens with a single click (we use this to check out different sketches)
Here is an example:
The recent preview of docs stored in the File folders section of Redbooth is helpful, but it would be even more helpful if RB offered a thumbnail display option of all the files listed within a File Folder -- so that a mini image of the doc/image would be displayed -- similar to the thumbnail view offered in most file directory structures, or image storage solutions.
Hi, the way files attached to tasks/comments are thrown into the root folder just makes all the file managing escalate into a mess pretty quickly, and also greatly reduces the usability of this feature (I doubt anyone would go moving file by file after they are added). I guess the solution is quite simple: just give the option to choose the folder where the file should go to before you attach it in the comments section.
My department has a shared Google Team Drive. However, we work with many other departments that we don't want to have access to our Google Team Drive that we'll want to attach a file from and share with them in Redbooth.
Allow a preview for all uploaded files including PDF's, DOCS, XLS.
We're in the process of rolling this out now and expect to deliver it to all our paying customers in April.
At this time we can no longer take pictures with Iphone and attach directly to task from iphone
This was a very useful features we are missing with the new version
We have added this feature back to iOS. Thanks for your patience.
There's an issue when attaching files to public tasks.
Public tasks means they are publicly visible to members of this workspace. But the workspace's content is retained within Redbooth.
However, there's a problem when attaching a file to a public task: this file will get a public URL and thus expose it to the web outside of Redbooth. If members are not aware of this fact they inadvertently expose sensitive content to the web.
From a process perspective files attached to tasks must be in a first step contained within Redbooth only; in cases where you want files to be accessible from outside Redbooth you would explicitly create a public URL.
Suggestion: change default state of files attached to tasks to be "Redbooth internal".
Attachment preview has been buggy, making it difficult to use Conversations when attachments are present in the conversation (they hide the comment box, so new comments must be typed blind--if you can get your cursor in the box before the preview blows it out). Our attachments are typically data files which we do not want to preview, and the previews are slow and make scanning conversations on individual tasks cumbersome.
Can there be a way to turn off the new attachment previews? Or work to not preview Excel files? Previews are the opposite of helpful for data work.
