It is very hard to send files in 1:1 chat and we have to move the file to Dropbox, copy a link and then paste it into chat. Takes WAY too long. Can you please add a simple "paper clip" icon to attach files like you do elsewhere in the product? We would use it so much more if you could have this capability.
Create the ability to add multiple users to a chat.
It would be very useful that could give a message directly (chat) to my technical team rather than one by one.
Would do well to congratulate the team, to warn of a serious incident or any other notice required to be closer and fast.
Not having Desktop application notifications for chat, e.g. notification indicator on Redbooth in the application tray, makes chat usable. You receive no notifications until you go in app which defeats the purpose of having chat
In 2017, to remove the chat feature on the mobile app seems like going back in time. For our organization, it is imperative that we are able to communicate via mobile as we all work remotely. This change has been quite a headache for us. Very disappointing
It would be great to be able to be able to really delete chat - even if it means you need to remove a user, let the chat with them flush out of the app, then re-invite them. As I understand this is not currently possible, and if people use chat then realise they probably should be deleting a chat they've had which is not necessarily something they want to keep, this could be one way of doing it.
It would be great to be able to open full screen version of the chat app just in one click. Right now I have to open up "Direct messages" window, then select a person, click on settings icon and select "full screen". Of course I can bookmark the full screen page, but I think it would make sense to have a link to the chat somewhere, for example next to "Reports" in the header menu.
I like the workspace chat feature and would use that functionality extensively, but workspace chat mentions don't appear to (a) trigger a desktop notification in the desktop app (it does trigger one in the web app), or (b) send a mobile notification. For me and my team, workspace chat would move a lot of back-and-forth out of email and into Redbooth, but only if everyone is comfortable that mentions will garner immediate attention and response. That's not the case currently.
We love Redbooth and the integration of conversations as well as video calls/meetings. It has everything we need in order to work together efficiently EXCEPT a chat feature that will allow us to share information, announcements, etc. in real time.
